Watermelon Game, originally known as the Suika Game (スイカゲーム), is a Nintendo masterpiece puzzle game. Basically, it's a game where you drop fruits from top to bottom, and when two of the same types of fruits are put together, they combine to form the next level of fruit. The level of fruit that is produced at the top is randomly determined. So, the goal of the game is to complete the final stage, 'watermelon.' (Absolute watermelon, not half of it.)

There are a total of 11 stages of fruit, and the last stage is of course watermelon.

If all the space fills up, a red scale is displayed, and if the fruit rises up to that scale, it's a game over. And you can also see what percentage of players in the world the player achieved.

Despite this unique and simple game style that has never been seen before and is easily accessible to anyone, the popularity of the game has not gone down due to its high level of addiction. Originally, it was for domestic use in Japan, but due to its global popularity, it was released through Nintendo e-shops in other countries, such as the U.S. and South Korea, starting in 2023.
