slither.io is a highly addictive multiplayer snake game where you compete against players from around the world in real time. Control your snake, collect glowing orbs, and grow longer while trying to trap and eliminate other players.

The controls are simple: move with your mouse (or touch on mobile). Hold the mouse button or press the spacebar to boost your speed—but be careful, as boosting will reduce your length.

If your head collides with another player’s body, it’s game over. When a snake dies, it drops orbs based on its size, giving other players a chance to grow even bigger.

Inspired by the classic snake games from the 1970s, slither.io combines simple mechanics with deep strategic gameplay, making it popular across all age groups and widely featured by streamers and content creators.

Game Start Screen

This is the first screen you'll see when you click on the link. Choose a nickname to express yourself and click the Play button.

You can proceed with the game even if you go in without entering a nickname.

Skin

If you press the Change Skin button on the main screen, a screen where you can select various skins will appear. Some Snakes are smiling face or have snail-like eyes on their heads, while others carry fallen leaves or medals(?).

There are multiple servers, and depending on the number of players, they are displayed from red to green. If you want constant competition and a jungle world, go to a crowded server, and if you want to grow up just eating marbles in a quiet place, go to a rural server with fewer people. You can choose an interesting server based on your preference.

It is important to take advantage of the fact that all players have a narrow vertical field of view and, conversely, a wide horizontal field of view. Therefore, if a large-sized player attacks a small-sized player vertically, they often die without any response.

In the beginning, you can pick up marbles, then find another player's weak Snake and catch it quickly using boosters, or you can watch other players fight and then take advantage like a hyena when the fight is over. Or, if you find a big snake and chase its tail, you have a high chance of making a big profit.
