What is Black Survival?
It is a survival genre game developed by Korean game company ARCHBEARS and officially opened in November 2015. Ten players, each choosing a character, must gather on a deserted island and fight in real time until the last one remains.
The battle royale method was well applied to the game, and it received favorable reviews for its beautiful illustrations. It was so popular at one time that it even produced a popular sequel based on Black Survival called 'Eternal Return', but the Black Survival game actually suffered from serious nuclear problems and problems. Due to the management's disappointing response, bug exploitation that spreads day by day, and character balance issues, its popularity gradually declined, and the update was eventually discontinued in August 22, and in December of the same year. The service will end on the 8th.
Project Lumia, Black Survival Free Server
In 2023, a year after the end of the service, news started coming that an overseas company called Project Lumia was producing Free Server, and Free Server was opened to the public at the end of 2023. Many people, including myself, found the gameplay of Black Survival very enjoyable, and the sequel, Eternal Return, had the same world view and game goal of survival, but the game method was completely different, so Project Lumia was created at a time when people were missing Black Survival. This is very welcome news for users.
However, as of January 25, only PVE against AI is currently open, and PVP against users is in beta testing and is being opened for a set period of time. Of course, in the future, we can expect it to be open permanently rather than for a limited period of time.
And since the company called Project Lumia is not the official company of Black Survival, it remains to be seen whether any friction will arise regarding it.
At this point, Nimble Neuron, the distributor of Black Survival, is aware of this, but is turning a blind eye to it.
Install Black Survival
In order to play Black Survival, the following procedures are required. First, please connect to Project Lumia’s Discord. It's the link below, and you can sign up without any further steps as long as you have a Discord account.
Then find downloads among the tabs.
You can download and play it on the platform of your choice: Windows exe file or Android APK. After authenticating with the Discord account logged in to the web browser, the game will run normally.

Please note that in order to install via apk, you need to allow installation of apps from unknown sources on the settings screen. (It will be moved automatically when installing the apk.)
If Discord is not authenticated after completing installation, please delete the Discord app and log in separately from the main web browser such as Chrome or Samsung browser.

In the roughly past two years of development we have made a variety of adjustments, quality of life changes and also begun to plan and develop new game content & this FAQ will cover a handful of them along with the most common questions.
Q: Will my account/data from the service hosted by Nimble Neuron transfer to Black Survival: Project Lumia?
A: In short, No. All players will start afresh with brand new accounts due to a multitude of reasons, but primarily due to gameplay and in-game economic adjustments.
Q: What monetization model will Black Survival: Project Lumia use?
A: Black Survival: Project Lumia is entirely Free2Play, there is 0 in-game micro-transactions and everything is earned directly through gameplay methods.
Q: How do I make an account and what information do you collect on me?
A: When first opening the game you will be prompted to allow the Discord Application "Black Survival: Project Lumia" to view your "username, avatar & banner". This allows us to see your public Discord ID to create and link your game account to your Discord.
Q: Is there any alternative way we can register an account?
A: In the future we plan to add additional third party login services such as Google Play, Apple ID & WeChat.
We currently do not have a set date yet for the implementation of these additional login services but once we have more information to share regarding them we will make an announcement covering the details.
Q: What Devices can I play on?
A: We currently only support Windows PC's and Android devices running Android Version 9 or higher.
We are hard at work adding compatibility for the iOS and other PC operating systems such as MacOS, but we have no ETA on when these will be finished as they require a lot of work.
Q: When can we play Classic PvP?
A: Currently PvP is only open during specific periods for testing. Our latest testing period was ran from to . Once we have more news to share with you about when the next test will we post an an announcement regarding the testing period.
Q: Is Labyrinthos (PvE) always playable?
A: Yes, the Labyrinthos mode is always open and can be played whenever you wish.
Q: Will my account progress during this testing period transfer to the full release?
A: As we plan to release a large economic overhaul of the in-game economy when the official release occurs all player data will be reset.
Q: How do I earn Gems, Gold & Bear Points?
A: Play Labyrinthos matches rewards you with Gems, Golds & Bear points based on your achieve score.
